Paediatrica Indonesiana is a long-established medical journal published by the Indonesian Pediatric Society. It is the leading national pediatrics journal in Indonesia. This bimonthly journal, which was founded by the late Professor Soetedjo, has already printed an initial issue in 1961 and was a pioneered English medical -periodicals in Indonesia. Professor Soedigdo Sastroasmoro joined the managerial board in 1987 and continued to lead the journal up to today. His contribution to Paediatrica has helped to promote Paediatrica Indonesiana national-wide and it is on its way to the international recognition.
Moreover, under the management of Paediatrica Indonesiana Business Manager, Professor Sofyan Ismael who is also the head of Indonesian Paediatrics Society Publisher, the improvement of Paediatrica Indonesiana distribution has been observed in the past six years. 

Paediatrica Indonesiana has been accredited since early 1990s by and is one journal among only three medical Journals in the country to receive accreditation for the period of 2008-2011.

Paediatrica Indonesiana is devoted to the health, in a broad sense, affecting fetuses, infants, children, and adolescents. Its publications are directed to pediatricians and other medical practitioners or researchers at all levels of health practice throughout the world.
